I believe in the 9 principles, and 12 values. I am seriously considering running for office, but I have no idea where to begin. i would be running on the Republican side, but with strong conservative principals and values. I believe that big government is the problem, and it needs to be shrunk down as well as its power over the people.

If anyone can give me some ideas on how to start a campaign, I would be very grateful.

Thanks

I believe that Sarah Palin just knocked on neighbors doors, announced her intention to run and then asked them what they would like to see happen in government.

You might want to take a look at the Independence Caucus (http://www.ourcaucus.com/).

I think they are just getting off the ground but could be a source of help for you.

What office are you considering running for?

I too would like to run, but I don't want to put my family through that wringer and I don't have millions to spend. I'm not too sure it is possible to win a national election without the $$$$.

I believe the problem with running on a different ticket is that it tends to brake up the vote, causing the demo party to get a larger pecentage. I don't know what the right answer is for this.

Why not run as a Republican? Replace the person in your district. This is what the primaries are for. Yes, you will have to knock on a lot of doors, shake a lot of hands, and kiss a lot of babies. Try talking to folks in your church, some folks there could help get you started.
