My Father in Heaven brought something to my attention this morning....Be careful to keep me first before all things. I was thinking about our country and how we are all fighting for the US Constitution. Are we as passionate about sharing the gospel as we are about saving the US Constitution? If we put this before what our Father commanded us to do....Well, let's remember He is a jealous God. I believe that there is constant spiritual warfare. Satan would love to see us take our eyes off Jesus to quest after something else, so I just want to remind all my fellow patriots "put on your armor every morning!"

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
Ephesians 6:13-18

Father cloth us in your armor of truth, righteousness, readiness, faith, salvation, and your word. Open our eyes to the evil surrounding us and prepare us to do your will. Thank you for always being available to us. I love you! In Jesus name Amen.

Amen and AMEN! SweeChee! Evil "never wastes a good crises" and will do everything in his power to take our eyes off of God and to close the ears of our hearts to His guidance. It is essential for all of us to stay in His will while we battle the forces of evil that are trying to destroy this nation that God created. The only way to stay in His will is to stay in His Word (Bible) and in constant prayer. We must also remember to "listen" for His answer. Often times we get so caught up in the praying, we forget to listen for the answer. Unlike the days of the Old Testament, God doesn't usually write His answer on tablets of stone or speak from a burning bush any more, He whispers His answers through the Holy Spirit that lives in each of us that have accepted our salvation. But we have to listen to that tiny voice in order to hear His answer. That's where Be Still and Know that I am God comes in. So, everyone, don't forget to "be still" after you pray and listen for His answer.

Nehemiah 4:9,16a,17-18a NIV "9) But we prayed to our God and posted a guard day and night to meet this threat." 16) " From that day on, half of my men did the work, while the other half were equipped with spears, shields, bows, and armor..." 17) who were building the wall. Those who carried materials did their work with one hand and held a weapon in the other, 18) and each of the builders wore his sword at his side as he worked.. . ."

We have our instructions! We have His guidance! 1st, we pray, 2nd, we post an around the clock guard, 3rd, we work, even with a weapon in one hand and our sword on our side! It's right there in Nehemiah, all we have to do is read the instructions then follow them!
